Charred Dreams – Fire of Bliss

I dare tell no one, it will confirm their fears that I am crazy or at least hopelessly odd, melancholy and stricken senseless with grief.  But long ago you ignited my heart with the fire of bliss and then took possession of it.  You locked it away and threw the key into the deepest part of the ocean, knowing that I cannot swim.  Then you vanished like mist on the shore when the sun breaks through.  Now I wait here in this burned out shell of charred dreams not knowing when or if you will ever return with the heart you once set on fire.
