Spiritual Journey – Spiritual Healing & Awakening

When the road behind becomes longer than the road you can see ahead in life, there is a profound shift in perspective.  A frightening opportunity to open up to more Truth.  As long as what we perceive as the time we have remaining here on this plane of existence appears to be longer than the time since our birth, it is still easy to allow ourselves to feel like our life will go on forever.

After all, the time since we were born seems like forever.  It seems to me like I have always been here.  I certainly can’t remember ever NOT being here.  So as long as the life I see ahead looks longer than the perceived eternity behind me it seems like I have eternity yet to go and then some extra.  But as soon as we begin to perceive that the road ahead is shorter than that we have already traveled the whole dynamic changes.  The time we have left is now somehow shorter than the eternity since we arrived here.

What does that mean?  Shorter than eternity?  We are not sure but we know it means there really is an end…the length of time we have to live is finite.  This inconvenient truth has now become much harder to sweep under the carpet of denial.  This life is temporary, so now what do you want to do?
